Grisham nel suo ambiente。 Inarrivabile

3。5-4⭐️。 Good Grisham novel! There are definitely multiple opportunities to continue the Jake Brigance storyline。

There is a lot packed into this book。 The lives of southern Americans is detailed and realistic, full of the emotion that would naturally surround the lives of the people depicted in this novel。 The characters involved in defending the law seem much too ordinary as we encounter their flaws through their practice all the while trying to keep their own lives "above" reproach。 There is a lot packed into this book。 The lives of southern Americans is detailed and realistic, full of the emotion that would naturally surround the lives of the people depicted in this novel。 The characters involved in defending the law seem much too ordinary as we encounter their flaws through their practice all the while trying to keep their own lives "above" reproach。 。。。more

Another good one!I always enjoy a good ethical question 。。。 And a fun, exciting courtroom drama。The characters in these are really good, well drawn and believable。Wasn't so satisfied with the ending of this one but maybe there will be another? This book is about 200 pages too long and no conclusion was drawn。

It's been a while since I've read Grisham but I enjoy his stuff occasionally as a quick read between my 2 books/mo for my book clubs。 This one did not disappoint。 I never look for anything profound in Mr。 Grisham's works, but I'm always amazed at how he can quickly pull you into the story and keep you there for the duration。 I enjoyed "A Time for Mercy。" It's been a while since I've read Grisham but I enjoy his stuff occasionally as a quick read between my 2 books/mo for my book clubs。 This one did not disappoint。 I never look for anything profound in Mr。 Grisham's works, but I'm always amazed at how he can quickly pull you into the story and keep you there for the duration。 I enjoyed "A Time for Mercy。" 。。。more

Loved this book。 Of course you know there will be a happy ending, but it still had me feeling all the tension, feeling all the feels。 I hope for more Jake Brigance (I think I am liking him and his colleagues more and more with each book), and I hope the main characters from this book return。 I'd love updates on what happened to them! Wish I could find me a catfish po'boy somewhere。。。。Again, listened to the audio version, Grisham has found himself the perfect narrator for all is books。 Excellent。 Loved this book。 Of course you know there will be a happy ending, but it still had me feeling all the tension, feeling all the feels。 I hope for more Jake Brigance (I think I am liking him and his colleagues more and more with each book), and I hope the main characters from this book return。 I'd love updates on what happened to them! John Grisham is my favorite author。 This book did not disappoint。 My heart ached for the characters and the choices they were facing。 He touched on difficult realities that have many facets。 It was a great read。

Kevin Black

Gripping, realistic, thought-provoking。

Shelley Stevens

Grisham Back on TrackA couple of the more recent Grisham novels have been lacking but this one is solid。 Strong emotion, strong courtroom drama, and a strongly developed town of characters。 I sometimes find Jake and Carla to be a bit whiny but I still root for them。 I will continue to read from this series of books if another comes out。

Rosie

Kind of depressing but end is worth it。

Craig Appleby

An engaging sequel for those who enjoyed a time to kill, Jake brigance, and for county。

Deven Seigler

One of my favorite authors, but I was a little disappointed。 Very slow compared to other stories

Kara

Traditional Grisham which I love…。the underdog, the advocacy piece…my favorite John Grisham style!

Another incredible read from John Grisham。 He certainly didn't disappoint。 I must say I was disappointed that the ending left a little open ended - but I'm sure this means another book to follow! Mercy it was good!!Another Gresham classic, from beginning to the end it kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was next。

I enjoyed this bookAlthough I really liked this book, I have questions that weren't addressed such as wouldn't Jake & Carla have thought about & discussed the baby inheriting traits from the father? What if the Kofers find out & want rights as grandparents? I really love the characters of Jake, Carla, Portia & Lucien! A phenomenal job by one of the best storytellers of our age。 The characters are lively and believable。 The story is deeply engaging。 The plot moves at a steady and enjoyable pace。 I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I recommend it to all。

3。5 stars rounded up to 4。。。。 It's vintage John Grisham, but I think it would have benefited from being a bit shorter。 OTOH, it has interesting characters, and was certainly well-written。 3。5 stars rounded up to 4。。。。 It's vintage John Grisham, but I think it would have benefited from being a bit shorter。 OTOH, it has interesting characters, and was certainly well-written。 。。。more

I liked his character development, you feel like you k ow these people。

The opening sequence shows why John Grisham is a master story teller。 The way he describes how the car and its headlights approaching the home via along winding driveway is rich in atmosphere。 while I enjoyed the rest of the novel I did come away with disappointment。 There were three subplots within that novel that never fully developed, leading me to believe that the basis of the novel was simply a bridge to probably three related sequels。

Janice

Audiobook。 John Grisham is obviously a great writer but his audiobooks narrated by Michael Beck are outstanding。 I honestly think he could narrate the dictionary and make it interesting。

Gail Detraz

Quit reading Grisham long ago as he became too predictable。 Pick this up after a 20 year boys for Grisham and was not disappointed。 Enjoyed the read。

Ruth

Another good Grisham novel。

Andrew Carter

A terrific story and well written。 One of the best books I have read in some time。

Rebecca Krebbs

3。5 stars。 Not, in my opinion, as good as A Time to Kill but a pretty solid sequel。 I was glad to revisit some Clanton characters。
